Tom Nelson, an associate professor of communications, was interviewed by Kansas Public Radio this week for his documentary "Prisoners of Plenty," a film that recounts the lives of German POWs imprisoned in Kansas during World War II.

Nelson’s completed work will be screened this weekend. The prison camp in Concordia, Kan., operated from 1943 to 1945 and held more than 4,000 prisoners. It is now primarily a cornfield within the small town, though its signature guard tower remains.
