Stephen A. Futrell, an associate professor of music, presented Nov. 7 at the North Carolina Music Educators Association In-Service Conference.
The presentation, “Vocal Jazz Essentials,” also included a guest appearance by Elon’s vocal jazz ensemble élan.
Topics for the demonstration/presentation included vocal jazz style, vocal technique, mic technique, sound reinforcement issues and repertoire.
