John G. Sullivan, Powell Professor of Philosophy Emeritus, has published a new essay “Pathway to Love.”

The essay is part of a new series Four Paths to Wholeness. They are: (1) Love, (2) Compassion, (3) Joy and (4) Equanimity.
These are what, in Buddhism, are called the Brahmaviharas or Four Immeasurable Ways of Dwelling. (A brief introduction to the series can be found at the end of the essay on love.)
