Are you a male who wants to make a difference?

If so, consider volunteering as a mentor in a new program to be offered on campus April 13-29. CHAMPS (Coaching Health and Mentoring Positive Students) is a program that will offer you the opportunity to positively influence a local boy through fun and education.

You will be matched one-on-one with a local boy for this three-week program which will meet Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5:30 p.m. Each session will include an opening game, supervised sport skills instruction, education on topics including fueling the body, the importance of being active, and team building, and one on one time for discussion and exercise.

If you are available on these dates and are willing to commit to making a difference in a young boy’s life, contact Professor Liz Bailey (ebailey@elon.edu) or TJ Douglas (tdouglas@elon.edu). There will be a training session for all mentors on March 11th at 4 p.m., and a mandatory orientation session for mentors and young participants (and their parents) on Tuesday, March 30. We are looking forward to working with you!
