Mark Enfield, assistant professor of education, coordinated a session at the 2010 National Science Teachers Association Research Dissemination Conference in Philadelphia. Melony Allen, adjunct instructor in the School of Education, co-presented in the session.
The NSTA-RDC highlights research topics and NSTA’s expanding commitment to bring specific, meaningful and practical professional development to science educators. The session explored integrating science and literacy from three distinct perspectives: a) uses of narratives in science learning, b) thoughtfully adaptive teaching using integrated materials, and c) using books to support science learning.
