In June, musician Chris Hendricks '07 will hit the road as part of the Life and Faith Tour, a two-month tour featuring some of the nation's biggest contemporary Christan artists, including Amy Grant, Shenandoah and Hawk Nelson. He was profiled in an article published in the Sunday, May 16 issue of The Chapel Hill News.
Hendricks, who was born with cerebral palsy, began playing guitar when he was a junior at Elon. He later formed The Chris Hendricks Band and has played at numerous venues around the Raleigh-Chapel Hill area. Hendricks hopes his music sends a message to people with disabilities – that anything is possible.
In addition to the tour, Hendricks is working on a full-length album and hopes to release it this summer.
