The Philip Carter Winery, owned by Philip Strother ’91, is hosting a Wine 101 and exclusive wine tasting for alumni on Sunday, Oct. 10, from 2-4:30 p.m. The event will provide an education on wine making basics, the different types of wine and guided tours of the facilities of their winery plus a private wine tasting consisting of 10 different wines followed by a glass of your favorite. Gourmet Virginia cheeses and crackers will be provide during the tasting.
Motorcoach transportation will be provided from the Vienna Metro station. Alumni should check-in on the bus no later than 12:45 p.m. as the bus will leave at 1 p.m. from Vienna station, on the south side of I-66 near the “Kiss & Ride.” Alumni will return to the parking lot at 5:30 p.m.
Admission is limited to 50 people. Tickets, including bus transportation, are $40 per person. Bus registration will close Oct. 1. If you’d like to attend but don’t want to take the bus, tickets are $30 per person.
