Elon Career Services will host the N.C. Career Development Association 2010 Fall Conference on Nov. 5, 2010.
With a theme of “Rejuvenate, Narrate, Innovate,”the full-day conference will focus on the use of storytelling to connect with mental health and career counseling clients and ramping up client services and programs.
There will also be a “Tool Time” portion of the conference where attendees can learn new interventions and methods to use with clients. Attendees will represent career counselors from a variety of settings including private practice, four-year university/college career services offices and community colleges.
Rhonda Kosusko, associate director of Career Services, is coordinating logistical components of the event, and Ross Wade, assistant director of Career Services for the School of Communications, is co-presenting a “Tool Time” session as well as leading conference marketing initiatives.
The North Carolina Career Development Association is comprised of professionals engaged in the field of career counseling and development. NCCDA is organized and governed in accordance with the by-laws of the National Career Development Association. NCCDA is a division of the North Carolina Counseling Association.
