Mosques, Muslims and the Media: A forum on Park 51, the “Ground Zero Mosque”
This event will examine the various media portrayals of the Park 51 project, the so-called “Ground Zero Mosque.” A panel of Elon faculty will respond to various clips from mainstream media regarding the proposed Islamic Community Center and prayer room in lower Manhattan, two blocks from the former site of the World Trade Center.
Panelist include: Dr. Shereen Elgamal, Dr. Anthony Hatcher, Dr. Ismail Lagardien and Dr. Michael Pregill
