Pranab Das, professor of physics, has been named to the International Board of Advisors of the John Templeton Foundation.
The foundation makes grants of approximately $65 million per year and looks to this board to provide guidance and counsel regarding research and academic discussions. Das will serve for three years beginning in January 2011 and attend his first board meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland, in July 2011.
