The Burlington (N.C.) Times-News profiled Sgt. Kelle Sisk, a 2003 Elon alumna, in its Feb. 28 edition. Sisk received the Burlington Police Department's Detective of the Year award earlier in the month.
Sisk began her career in law enforcement as an intern with the Burlington Police Department during her senior year at Elon. Impressed with her efforts, the department hired her upon her graduation, and within months she completed basic law enforcement training and was sworn in in 2004.
