Dr. Phil Gardner, a nationally recognized expert on college and labor market trends, will share his latest research on employer expectations of interns and graduates, critical competencies for the workplace, and implications for colleges and employers in managing students’ transition from college to work.

Students, alumni, faculty and staff are all encouraged to attend.

 

About the Presenter:

Dr. Gardner, Director of the Collegiate Employment Research Institute at Michigan State University, has been with MSU for 25 years after receiving degrees from Whitman College (BA in Chemistry) and Michigan State University (Ph.D. in Economics/Public Policy). His major areas of research include the transition from college to work, early socialization and career progression in the workplace, workforce readiness, and other areas related to college student studies.
