Kernodle Center volunteers help with tornado clean-up

The Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement organized a group of fourteen volunteers on April 23 to assist with tornado relief in regions of North Carolina affected by recent storms.

Elon volunteers worked in collaboration with Methodist University, which coordinated students from across the state who wished to help. Advisor Bobby Dunlap led students working in the Fayetteville area in clearing debris from the community. Monica Yantosh from Phoenix 14 News covered the event.

The Kernodle Center hopes to offer a similar workdays Saturday, April 30, and Saturday, May 7. Interested students should register at elonvols@elon.edu and check E-Net for more volunteer opportunities.
