On June 3, Scott Hildebrand, assistant director of teaching and learning technologies presented at the EDUCAUSE Southeast Regional Conference in Charlotte.
The hands-on presentation, titled “Cloud Collaboration with Google Apps,” provided an overview of the emerging tool and explored its potential impact for teaching and learning. Google Apps is a collection of web-based programs used by Elon faculty and students for communications, productivity, and content creation that run in a web browser. Hildebrand also served on the planning committee for the conference.
Elon Technology staff and faculty in attendance included Anthony Bennett, Anotonio Izzo, Arif Kahn, Michelle Kleckner, Claudia Sparks, and Christopher Waters.
EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. The current membership comprises more than 2,200 colleges, universities, and educational organizations, including 250 corporations, with more than 17,000 active members. There were more than 250 people in attendance at the regional conference.
