Save money on gas by carpooling

Give yourself a break from high gas prices by carpooling. Zimride, Elon’s private carpool network, is a fun and easy way to share your daily commute or one-time trips. Using Google Maps and Facebook integration, Zimride helps match you with other Elon community members so you can share your ride and costs.

Zimride is free to use, just sign-up and add your ride. Zimride does the matching for you based on rides posted by other Elon community members.

Whether you are interested in carpooling a couple of times a week or every day, Zimride can help you find a carpool partner.

Sign-up and add your ride today at www.zimride.com/elon.

Faculty and staff – don’t forget about the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program offered through the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART).

The program provides participants (commuters who regularly ride the bus, vanpool, carpool, bike or walk) with a reliable, emergency ride home on the day the person has used an alternative mode of transportation to get to work. Participants must live or work in PART member counties, which include Alamance and Guilford among others. For more information, visit the PART web site.
