The Elon MBA program will host “Supply Chain Issues, Practices and the Regional Impact” on August 11 at 6:00 p.m. at the Koury Business Center in room 242. The panel discussion will focus on current practices and issues facing local major firms who conduct business globally. Topics to be explored include sourcing decisions in the wake of the deadly tsunami in Japan, how a major apparel producer utilizes a global network to supply its customer base, and the impact of the supply chain on our region.
Panelists include:
- Kevin Gobble, procurement manager, VF Industries
- Kathleen Patterson, operations manager, North Carolina Center for Global Logistics
- David Werden, purchasing assurance department manager, Honda Power Equipment Manufacturing.
