Oct. 27 12:30-2:00 Belk Library 102
Join us for a discussion about using games for learning, facilitated by Shannon Duvall and Megan Squire, Associate Professors in Computing Sciences. Shannon will discuss how she structures her course as a game (a series of challenges with tangible rewards that lead to the “Ultimate Mission”!) and the benefits of using games for knowledge acquisition. Megan will talk about using role-playing games as course content and how this form of active learning gives the students a more meaningful (and fun!) learning experience. Register to attend. (Lunch is provided to the first 10 faculty to register.)
