Three members of the Belk Library staff presented at the Biennial Conference of the North Carolina Library Association, held Oct. 4-7, in Hickory.
Randall Bowman, instruction librarian, participated in two panel discussions, “Lessons Learned: Getting the Most Out of LibGuides” and “Event Planning Without Tears.”
Jennifer Smith, serials/documents assistant, was competitively selected for the poster session. Her topic was “Going Virtual: Weeding Federal Government Documents in the Electronic Age.”
Jamane Yeager, electronic resources librarian, led a half-day workshop, “Skeletons in the Closet,” that explored the US Census, Ancestry Library and other online genealogical resources.
