Shawn Tucker Presents at International Humanities and Social Science Conference

Associate Professor of Fine Arts Shawn Tucker presented a paper on July 27, 2012 at the International Congress of Humanities and Social Science Research in Paris, France.

The paper, entitled “Humor’s Humble Persuasion,” explored how humor might be a way to communicate messages that could otherwise be rejected. The paper drew on a wide range of philosophical, psychological, and literary insights, and it is part of a larger examination of pride and humility across the humanities and social sciences.
