Break away from the ordinary and immerse yourself in a service learning opportunity with Elon Volunteers! over Fall Break, Oct. 12-15.
Trip coordinators will be leading two trips to rural regions in North Carolina for students to engage in service.
• Turtle Island: Learn about living sustainably at an environmental preserve and education center founded by “the last American man,” Eustice Conway.
• Appalachian Mountains: Learn about rural poverty and environmental issues in N.C. by volunteering in a community kitchen and clearing hiking trails.
Participants on both trips should be willing to work hard, live in tune with nature, meet new friends and embrace the great outdoors.
Don’t miss out on this unique learning experience! Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 21, and can be picked up in the Kernodle Center, Moseley 230. Email trips@elon.edu for more information.
