Students, faculty in the Early Childhood program present at state conference

Students in Elon University’s Early Childhood program presented at the North Carolina Association for the Education of Young Children (NCaeyc) Annual Study Conference in Raleigh on Sept. 14, 2012, along with Assistant Professor Heidi Hollingsworth, program coordinator for Early Childhood Education.

Nada Azem, Micaela Herrmann, Alyssa Kendall and Megan Whetzel joined Hollingsworth in presenting work on early childhood math concepts and learning activities for a group of early childhood practitioners, administrators, and service coordinators.

Azem, Herrmann, Kendall, and Whetzel are all minoring in early childhood. Their presentation was titled “Preschool Numeracy: Learning Experiences for Classroom and Natural Environments.”
