Beta Alpha Psi, the honorary organization for financial information students and professionals, hosted its annual Accounting and Finance Meet and Greet on September 10 in McKinnon Hall to provide networking and information to students interested in finance careers.
The event was a success with twenty different finance and accounting firms as well as over 100 students in attendance. Representatives from the companies informed students of various internships and jobs that their firms offer.
Dressed in business professional attire, students networked and provided the recruiters with their resumes and business cards.
The goal of the meet and greet is to provide students a chance to meet with companies they would want to intern or work for. “Hopefully there are some interviews on the horizon for the students who participated in the event,” commented Brian Sharnsky, VP of media relations and public outreach for Beta Alpha Psi.
