The Elon Music Ambassadors, led by music faculty Virginia Novine Whittaker, recently returned from a six-day performance tour of northern Florida and South Carolina. The tour took place just one month after a four-day tour of Western North Carolina in December.

EMA, an elite ensemble consisting of select music majors, performed a World Music theme-based program entitled One World, One Voice, showcasing the excellence of the Elon University Music Department for public and private high school audiences. The Elon Music Ambassadors program was met with tremendous enthusiasm from audiences at each of the ten schools where they performed. As part of their most recent touring schedule, this talented group of students also performed for the Charleston National Elon Alumni event at the Stars Rooftop Restaurant.
The Elon Music Ambassadors who performed on tour include Leah Alexander, Alex Nuesse, David Kerman, Brian Magna, Wesley Rose, Ben Soldate, Michelle Warshany, Ethan Luke and John Mullen. Music technology majors Gabriel Estes and Sam Costello served as live sound engineers.
The Elon Music Ambassadors are creating and rehearsing a new program to be performed for high school audiences throughout Maryland, New Jersey and Connecticut in May.
