The associate professor and coordinator of the Music Production & Recording Arts program completes commissioned musical work for the Ciompi Quartet and organist Tim Olsen.
This summer Todd Coleman, associate professor and coordinator of Music Production & Recording Arts, completed work on a new 15-minute composition for organ and string quartet. The new work will be premiered by the Ciompi Quartet and organist Tim Olsen on October 6 at 3 p.m. in Whitley Auditorium as part of the Mary Duke Biddle Chamber Series
The piece was commissioned by Elon Cultural and Special Programs for this event. This follows the premiere of Coleman’s 12-minute work for orchestra, large choir, and rhythm section, “In varietate concordia, Many and One” which was commissioned for the President’s Gala this past April.
