Professor Toddie Peters will hold an information session October 8 for students interested in GST 416 "Wealth & Poverty," which travels to NYC and DC this Winter Term.
To that end, we will examine they ways in which people experience aspects of wealth and poverty in our world, by reading relevant philosophical and ethical resources, working with the Poverty Initiative (a grassroots organization working to end poverty in the US); meeting with representatives of UN agencies and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in New York City; and learning about US domestic policy on wealth and poverty and lobbying Congress on these important issues – plus – we’ll be in DC on MLK day!
An information session will be held for interested students at the following time:
- Oct. 8 12:30-1:00 p.m., in Spence 207
The course fulfills the upper-level GST seminar requirement and requires third or fourth year status.
