The Department of Physical Therapy Education will once again be offering a continuing education course "free" (with advanced registration) to our alumni and clinical instructors on Dec. 2-3.
Course details and registration forms will be sent out mid-October through NCPTA Blastcast and the Elon DPT Alumni Facebook page. This year’s two-day course (15 hours, 1.5 CEUS) is Therapeutic Neuroscience Education: Educating Patients About Pain, presented by Adriaan Louw, PT, PHD (c), GCRM, CSMT.
The course is designed to update attendees on the latest evidence and clinical application of therapeutic neuroscience education for patients in pain. Adriaan Louw has presented at numerous national and international conferences and co-authored extensive articles and book chapters related to spinal disorders and pain science. He is a practicing physical therapist and co-owner of the Ortho Spine and Pain Clinic in Story City, Iowa.
