Branyon quoted in newspaper article

Rick Branyon, assistant professor of English, was quoted in a Feb. 9 Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal article about the Beatles’ influence on the pop culture of the 1960s. The article also appeared on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Web site.

The article, by Phil Kloer of Cox News Service, mentions Branyon’s course titled “Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll” and his use of a video of the Beatles’ first appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show” 40 years ago today, Feb. 9, 1964.
