Elon University's coordinator of student media discussed editing and mentoring at a North Carolina Scholastic Media Association program.
Donohue’s remarks, which were delivered to high school journalism students, centered on the journalistic editing process and the challenges of leading a group of creative people. He provided tips and techniques to help jumpstart leadership structures and mentorship opportunities.
This is the second consecutive year Donohue has offered this editing and coaching session at the institute. At Elon, he advises The Pendulum and teaches the course “Multimedia Journalism.”
