Intramural Coed Flag Football Champion, I Feel Like a Paganini, participated and won the North Carolina Collegiate Flag Football Championship over the weekend.
Elon was well represented this past weekend at Campbell University, as our Coed Champion in Flag Football claimed the title as the “Best Coed Flag Football Team in North Carolina.” The team, named I Feel Like a Paganini, went undefeated at Elon this year and earned to opportunity to compete in the state tournament amongst the best teams from each school in North Carolina.
After winning all of their pool play games, they were the #1 seed for the single elimination bracket play. Despite losing their starting center Kelly Fawcett to an injury in pool play, they won the championship game by a score of 27-10 against the CU Fighting Camels. The other scores were an interception that Josiah returned for a Touchdown and a late game drive that resulted in a 20 yard Touchdown pass to Lauren Duncan to seal the victory.
