Professors Deborah Long and Mark Rumley, Department of Education, attended the Professional Development Schools National Conference in Orlando, Florida, March 3–7. Their invited proposal was titled “Building a PDS Site from the Ground Up.”
The presentation featured a collaborative project, including a service-learning component, with North Graham Elementary School. Co-presenters included Cathy Rumley, principal; Jonathan Pickett ’03, Grade 1 teacher; and Linda Loy, coordinator for personnel development with Alamance-Burlington Schools.
