Due to a major winter storm in the Northeast, many students will be unable to travel during the break between Winter Term and spring semester. Read this note for details about campus services this week.
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
You have undoubtedly heard about the major winter storm that is taking place in northeastern states. With blizzard warnings and heavy snow, travel is becoming impossible and many cities have declared a state of emergency. Flights into major cities are cancelled or delayed.
Since many students will be unable to travel to the affected areas following the conclusion of Winter Term, I want you to be aware of campus services for this week:
- Residence Halls will remain open through the break; students are welcome to stay on campus. All residentiall neighborhood offices will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Resident Assistants are available and will be on duty. You may reach them by calling the duty phone number posted in your residential neighborhood. All residence life policies are in effect during winter term break.
- Dining: Winter Term meal plans end on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. At least two cash/retail dining options will be available on campus every day during break; students may use Phoenix cash, food dollars, cash, or credit cards at these locations. For a full list of dining options during Fake Break, go to: http://www.elondining.com/news/fake-break-2015. Additional retail dining options within walking distance of campus will also be open all week. The spring meal plan begins at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1.
