Students in professor Hal Walker’s Programming and Event Management class during Fall semester 2003 presented a $1,000 check to the Burlington Housing Authority Thursday, March 11.
Students Rebecca Markusson and Cory Winn made the presentation to Gladys Shaw of BHA. The class organized a bowling event during the fall, “Strykes for Tykes,” with the net proceeds benefitting BHA. Students in the class gained firsthand experience in planning and organizing an event, fiscal responsibility and civic service.
