SHARE is expanding! We just developed the Elon Animal Protection Alliance to progress from just volunteering to include activism, advocacy and social events as well. Here’s what you can expect:
- Social events: vegetarian and vegan potlucks
- Community involvement: attending circus protests, look to pass anti-tethering resolutions
- University involvement: host speakers from various organizations, put on movie screenings, increase vegan/vegetarian options in dining halls, host events, provide dissection alternatives
- Field trips: visit the local shelter, Conservator’s Center, Triangle Chance for All, Piedmont Wildlife Refuge, etc.
- Education: learn about animals used for food, clothing, entertainment, research, and more
