Senior art history majors Elizabeth Chang, Bethany Hill, Mary Sullivan and Emma Tucker will present formal 20-minute presentations on their semester-long research projects on Sunday, May 17, from 4-6 p.m. in the Isabella Cannon Room in the Center for the Arts.
This annual event, open to the public, serves as the final comprehensive evaluation for the major and is identical in format to presentations by professional art historians. Come celebrate with us and learn more about the use of Robert Rauschenberg’s art as a representation of Americanness in Spanish art collections, Nandipha Mntambo and the troubled category of “African Art”, the relationship between Marc Chagall’s biography and his illustrations for a Hebrew Bible, and a manifesto for Jewelry as a distinct category in art history and in museum collections.
Also, snacks.
