Crossroads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center is hosting a 21 hour crisis intervention volunteer training during the month of February.

A volunteer advocate is often the first point of contact for those affected by sexual assault. You can make a difference by providing much needed support to victims of sexual assault and their friends and family members.  Crisis intervention and counseling skills are developed through discussion, role-plays and feedback. In addition to taking crisis phone calls on your cell during the shift you sign up for, you may be accompanying victims to the hospital or with law enforcement when necessary.

Class dates are Feb. 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23 from 6pm until 9pm. Email Julie Budd at julie@CrossRoadsCares.org to participate.
