“Common Ground,” the latest CD produced by the Elon Improvibes label, was the subject of a favorable review recently in Cadence, a magazine that reviews jazz and blues music.
The CD features Jon Metzger, assistant professor of music, along with Jack Wilkins; Phil Markowitz; Carroll V. Dashiell, Jr.; and Allison Miller.
Reviewer David Lewis praises Common Ground, writing, “…this quintet is good enough to also deserve a contrary epithet, as to my ears they are keen explorers of uncommon ground.”
