Collegiate Political Leadership Workshop introduces students to politics and public service

As the 2016 election season heats up, it’s a great time for students to explore their own path to political leadership and public service.

On Saturday, April 2, North Carolina Campus Compact and the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership will host a political leadership training workshop at Meredith College in Raleigh.

Designed for undergraduate or graduate students, this one-day workshop serves as an introduction to politics and public service, and includes sessions on political values, leadership planning, plus a question and answer session with a panel of elected officials.

IOPL is a non-partisan, non-profit organization founded in 1987 to educate future political and community leaders in campaign strategy, ethical decision-making, and governance, consistent with the organization’s philosophy of cooperative and collaborative leadership.

Registration closes on Tuesday, March 15. To register, contact Bob Frigo at bfrigo@elon.edu

This opportunity is sponsored by the Council on Civic Engagement, Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement, Elon Votes! and Elon Volunteers!
