The associate professor of marketing shared his insights on the effects of color preferences among consumers in modern society.
In light of the new Tealeaves x Pantone packaging design of the company’s Whole Leaf Pyramid Teabag collection, Tealeaves has initiated an online exhibition exploring the detail of color through a culinary approach as well as a documentary on why color matters.
Larry Garber, associate professor of marketing in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, contributed to this exhibition through an interview with Tealeaves for their blog, Folio. This aspect of the initiative looks to learn from influencers and thought-leaders of the industry to see how they apply color in the respective domains.
In a segment titled “Over a Cup of Tealeaves with Dr. Lawrence Garber & Dr. Eva Hyatt: Consumer Behavior Researchers,” Garber and Eva Hyatt, a marketing professor at Appalachian State University and a research colleague of Garber’s, discuss the intimate links between culture, color, and individual, demonstrating there is more to one’s palate than simply flavor.
The interviewees addressed questions regarding their opinions on certain food combinations, their insights on color and their preferences of tea and Tealeaves tea, specifically.
