Applied Mathematics Major and Professor Present at BAMM!

Kelly Reagan '17 and Associate Professor Karen Yokley present mathematical modeling research at VCU conference.

A student and a professor from Elon recently presented research at the Biology and Medicine Through Mathematics (BAMM!) Conference at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.  Applied Mathematics major Kelly Reagan ’17 presented work related to her undergraduate research project investigating dengue fever.  Her poster entitled, “A Mathematical Model of the Spread of Dengue Fever Incorporating Mobility,” was featured in a session primarily composed of graduate students and scholars with graduate degrees.  Associate Professor of Mathematics Karen Yokley gave a presentation on her work, “Investigations of the effects of different ventilation structures on physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling simulations.”
