Jason Husser, assistant professor of political science and the director of the Elon University Poll, was interviewed by members of McClatchy's Washington Bureau.
Journalists with the Washington Bureau of the national McClatchy media company recently used insights from Elon Professor Jason Husser for an article about the leak by WikiLeaks of excerpts from paid speeches by Hillary Clinton, the democratic candidate for president.
The article, which ran in more than four dozen media outlets around the country, included Husser’s thoughts about how the leaked excerpts would impact what North Carolina voters think about Clinton’s candidacy. Husser is an assistant professor of political science and the director of the Elon University Poll.
“While some of Clinton’s quotes certainly aren’t helpful to her,” Husser said, “they largely confirm suspicions that many in the Sanders’ coalition already begrudgingly accepted as they switched to Clinton over Trump.”
