Executive interns work with members of university senior staff on projects directly related to accomplishing university initiatives while further developing their leadership and management skills.
The Executive Internship Program provides a select group of juniors and seniors the opportunity to work with members of university senior staff on projects directly related to accomplishing university initiatives while further developing their leadership and management skills. Applications for the 2017-18 school year will be available beginning Feb. 3 and will be due Feb. 20.
During the fall semester, executive interns attend orientation and group meetings with senior staff members, meet with their mentors, begin research in preparation for their projects, and attend customized professional development sessions. During Winter Term, interns are expected to work
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday and complete the bulk of their projects. This includes working with other members of their respective areas and attending departmental meetings (as appropriate). In the spring, interns conclude the program through capstone experiences, continue to meet with senior staff members, and participate in the application and interview process for following year’s interns.
