On Wednesday, March 22, the Atlanta Alumni Chapter and Odyssey students came together for a LifELONg Learning event at the Center for Civil & Human Rights.
Each Spring, the Atlanta Alumni Chapter hosts a LifELONg Learning event, providing an opportunity for area alumni to take a break from the work week and learn something new about the world around them.
This year the chapter partnered with the Odyssey Scholars program while the students were on their annual trip to Atlanta to bring everyone to the historic Center for Civil & Human Rights. The center and its exhibits aim to connect the American Civil Rights Movement with today’s Global Human Rights Movement, and empower guests to “take the protection of every human’s rights personally.”
Alumni and students had open access to the center’s galleries, allowing them explore the exhibits privately or in groups and learn from the history displayed in them.
