Graduation has been moved indoors to Alumni Gym due to the threat of afternoon rain and storms.
The Elon University administration receives a detailed micro-forecast for Alamance County, which predicts thunderstorms moving through the area between 4 and 6 p.m.
This decision takes into consideration the safety and comfort of all graduates and their guests.
Students must report to Jordan Gym as planned by 3:45 p.m. Family and friends should be seated by 4:45 in Alumni Gym. Families with accommodation requests should look for a student marshal with a sash to assist them in finding their seats.
GRADUATES: Report to the stage in Alumni Gym at 3:00 p.m. to get your sashes and receive further instructions.
STUDENT MARSHALS: Report to Jordan Gym as planned.
FACULTY: Report to Room 139 in Koury Athletic Center by 4 p.m.
PLATFORM PARTY: Report to Atkins Room in Koury Athletic Center by 4:00 p.m.
