Elon PA Students Attend National Conference

Fourteen physician assistant students from classes of 2018 and 2019, four faculty members and an alumna participated in events at the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) National Conference, held May 16-20, 2017 in Las Vegas. 

Elon’s PA curriculum allows academic and clinical phase students the opportunity to participate in the annual national conference for the PA profession. This year’s conference had about 7,400 attendees. The conference offers learning and networking opportunities for all participants, and provides resources for professional development as well as continuing medical education. 

Elon once again participated in the AAPA 2017 Student Challenge Bowl. Team members were: Phia Caccavale (captain), Anna Parr, Hillary McDonald, Brittany Hall-Potvin and Rheadon Remy. Second-year student Will Phillips served on the AAPA Student Academy Assembly of Representatives; Jacquelyn Visser served as alternate and led a resolution passing during the Assembly.
