Students enrolled in teacher education courses have the opportunity to work closely with the local schools and community agencies through a variety of partnerships. On Oct. 12, the School of Education will host an orientation for all clinical teachers to learn more about the mission, goals, and expectations of clinical experiences.
On Oct. 12, the School of Education will host an orientation for all clinical teachers assigned to Elon teacher candidates in the field this academic year. This orientation will be held in McKinnon Hall from 4 to 6 p.m.
Students enrolled in teacher education courses have the opportunity to work closely with the local schools and community agencies through a variety of partnerships. Candidates in the teacher education program participate in a variety of clinical experiences in diverse school settings. The clinical teacher plays a vital role in providing teacher candidates many opportunities to observe and work in a variety of instructional settings allowing candidates to continually connect their learning to what is experienced in the classroom.
During orientation, clinical teachers will learn more about the mission, goals and expectations of clinical experiences.
