Elon students will engage in a conversation with Representative Stephen Ross, R-Burlington, who serves as the Deputy Majority Leader in the North Carolina House of Representatives.
Ross in his second term in the North Carolina General Assembly. A Burlington native and graduate of Walter M. Williams High School, he also graduated from Elon University and attended graduate school at North Carolina State University. He now serves on the Elon Board of Visitors. Ross served twice on the Burlington City Council, including a term as mayor.
This discussion is part of a series crafted to allow students to gain a deeper understanding of how government works and to develop the necessary skills to engage in civil discourse across political divides.
