The eighth annual gratitude event, held April 17, celebrated the impact of philanthropy on Elon’s campus.
More than 3,382 thank-you cards and phone calls helped “A Thousand Thanks” 2018 exceed its goal and ensure that the university’s donors feel the depth of the campus community’s appreciation.
Student-athletes kicked off the spring gratitude festival with a Thankathon held on April 9, 10 and 12. Their efforts sent 1,833 cards and phone calls to donors who support Elon athletics.

Elon Student Alumni Ambassadors took the lead in staffing the writing stations and writing their own notes to donors. The Class of 2021 wrote the most postcards on Tuesday, with approximately 130 first-year students participating.
That evening, more students participated in a gathering at The Oak House, and student callers logged nearly 1,000 thank-you phone calls.
