The Public Service Challenge is an exciting online simulation game designed to expose you to the challenges of managing the operations of a government program. By accepting the Challenge, you assume the role as the head of a government agency responsible for battling the spread of infectious diseases. You will compete with students from around the country to protect the public and save lives, while learning valuable business and management skills that are transferable to any professional career.
The Public Service Challenge is the perfect opportunity to build your resume and exhibit your talent at the same time. Succeeding at the Challenge requires applying management insight and analytical skills to the business-like operations of government.
The Challenge is free and open to U.S. undergraduate or graduate student regardless of their major or field of study. Participants must be currently enrolled or have graduated in the 2003-2004 academic year.
The Challenge will begin TODAY, January 24, 2005 and will end on February 21, 2005.
Top undergraduate and graduate performers will win a two day trip to Washington DC and gain an insider’s look at the issues facing our nation. In addition to meeting elected officials and top managers within Federal agencies, the Challenge winners will participate in unique events, including a meeting with writers and editors of U.S. News & World Report to get the story behind the story.
