Dianne Ford and Patrick Rudd present at the Workshop on Intercultural Skills Enhancement Conference
Dianne Ford, coordinator of library electronic resources, and Patrick Rudd, coordinator of library instruction and outreach, co-presented "A World of Possibilities: Academic Library Partnerships for Intercultural Development” with library faculty from Wake Forest University at the Workshop on Intercultural Skills Enhancement (WISE) Conference on Feb. 14 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The Elon librarians shared ways to impact student success through collaborations with teaching faculty to co-create and co-teach study abroad classes. Wake Forest librarians shared their “boots on the ground” approach of providing intentional programming that fosters cross-cultural relationships and social integration. The session shared examples from both institutions so that participants could develop and explore models appropriate to their institutions for including faculty librarian expertise in global education and intercultural learning.
