A time of prayer and meditation will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday in the Sacred Space
A Message from the Elon University Chaplains:
We are horrified by the terrorist attacks against Muslims in New Zealand. Our hearts are broken and we are shaken, even more so that this massacre took place during Jum’ah (Friday prayers).
We condemn hate and violence in any form against any religious community. We pledge as chaplains and religious leaders to continue working together towards peace, healing, and greater understanding between people of all religious, spiritual, and secular traditions.
Join us on Monday at 5 p.m. in the Sacred Space in Numen Lumen Pavilion for a time of prayer and meditation in support of our Muslim community and Muslims everywhere who are hurt and traumatized by hate and violence.
The Rev. Dr. Jan Fuller, the Rev. Dr. Joel Harter, Imam Shane Atkinson, Fr. Peter Tremblay, Rabbi Sandra Lawson
